The Lanberg RSGE-24P-2GE-2S-360 is an unmanaged PoE+ Ethernet switch with 24 Gigabit RJ-45 PoE+ ports, two Gigabit uplink RJ-45 ports and two Gigabit SFP uplink ports. It supplies up to 360 W total power compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at standards, combining data and power delivery over existing structured cabling. The product is intended for installations such as home and business networks, surveillance, IP/VoIP, cable TV, low-voltage systems and security installations including alarm, fire and access control systems.

How to use

Install the switch in a rack or on a flat surface using the supplied mounting ears and screws. Connect uplink ports (RJ-45 or SFP) to your core network or recording device and attach PoE-powered devices to the 24 RJ-45 PoE+ ports. Enable PoE+ Extend 250 m mode by toggling the switch on the housing when longer cable runs (up to 250 m) are required; note that in Extend mode data rate is limited to 10 Mbps. No configuration is required for basic operation; the unmanaged switch works in plug-and-play mode.

Recommendations

To keep critical devices powered continuously, connect them to the lowest-numbered PoE ports. When the total PoE demand exceeds the available budget, the switch will sequentially disable higher-numbered PoE ports until the power budget is within limits. For typical installations keep cable runs under 100 m unless PoE+ Extend is explicitly required, and ensure total required PoE power does not exceed 360 W.
