Key specifications

• Kamado-style firebox compatible with 23–24 inch grills
• Durable materials engineered for high-temperature use
• Designed for efficient heat retention and even heat distribution
• Suitable for direct grilling, indirect cooking and smoking
• Compact footprint for small to medium gatherings

How to use

Install the TARGUS Firebox into a compatible 23–24 inch kamado grill according to the grill manufacturer’s guidance, ensuring a secure fit and proper alignment of vents and gaskets. Start with a controlled amount of fuel and light according to standard kamado procedures, then adjust the top and bottom vents to reach the desired cooking temperature. Use the firebox for direct high-heat searing or stabilize lower temperatures for smoking and roasting by regulating airflow and fuel load. Monitor internal grill temperature with a thermometer and add fuel as needed for longer cooks.

Recommendations

For best performance, preheat the firebox gradually and avoid sudden large changes in temperature. Use quality lump charcoal or suitable fuel recommended for kamado cooking to maintain stable heat. Clean ash and residue after the firebox has cooled to preserve airflow and prolong the life of the unit.
