Charcoal grid TARGUS 26 inch for Kamado — heavy-duty durable charcoal grate

TARGUS 26 inch charcoal grid for Kamado is a heavy-duty durable grate designed specifically for kamado-style ceramic grills. The grid supports lump charcoal or briquettes and keeps embers contained while allowing consistent airflow through the firebox. Its sturdy construction facilitates both direct high-heat searing and indirect low-and-slow cooking, while making fuel replenishment and ash removal easier during extended grilling or smoking sessions.

Advantages

The charcoal grid is made from heavy-duty materials to resist warping and maintain structural integrity under high temperatures. Its open design ensures reliable air circulation to sustain stable burning and even heat distribution. The grate’s dimensions suit 26-inch kamado bowls and it is removable for straightforward cleaning and maintenance. Installation and removal are simple, allowing fast access to coals and ash when adjusting fuel or preparing the cooker for storage.

Suitable for

• High-heat grilling and searing
• Indirect cooking and low-and-slow smoking
• Extended cook sessions that require fuel replenishment
• Users who need easy ash removal and maintenance

Key specifications

• Diameter compatible with 26-inch kamado-style ceramic grills
• Heavy-duty construction for high-temperature resilience
• Open grate design for improved airflow and ember support
• Removable for cleaning and ash access
• Designed to hold lump charcoal and briquettes securely

How to use

Place the charcoal grid into the base of the kamado so it sits evenly on the ledge or supports provided by the ceramic bowl. Add lump charcoal or briquettes in a single layer or in a mound depending on your cooking method. Light the fuel according to your usual procedure and allow coals to reach the desired temperature before placing the cooking grate. During long cooks, lift the cooking surface and add fuel as needed; the grate’s removable design makes this process straightforward. After use and once fully cooled, lift out the grid to dispose of ash and clean any debris before storing or reinstalling.

Recommendations

For best results, avoid overfilling the charcoal grid beyond the recommended depth for your kamado model to maintain adequate airflow. Use quality lump charcoal for consistent heat and reduced ash production. Inspect the grate periodically for signs of deformation or excessive corrosion and replace if structural integrity is compromised.
