Tefal Puregliss FV8042 Dry & Steam iron Durilium AirGlide Autoclean soleplate 3000 W Bronze, White

The Tefal Puregliss FV8042 is a dry and steam iron designed for efficient garment care at home. Delivering up to 3000 W of power and equipped with a Durilium AirGlide Autoclean soleplate, the iron offers smooth gliding over fabrics while limiting sticking and residue build-up. Compact dimensions and a 2 m cord provide practical handling and reach for everyday ironing tasks.

Advantages

The Durilium AirGlide Autoclean soleplate ensures consistent glide and easy maintenance, reducing friction on a wide range of textiles. A 3000 W power rating allows rapid heat-up and stable temperature control for effective dry and steam ironing. The iron includes a vertical steam function for refreshing hanging garments and drapes without an ironing board. Its 0.27 L water tank balances compact size with sufficient steam output for typical household loads, and the nearly 1.3 kg weight gives a stable feel while remaining manageable during use.

Suitable for

• Daily ironing of shirts, trousers and blouses
• Smoothing heavier fabrics such as cotton and linen
• Quick steam refresh of suits, jackets and curtains using vertical steam
• Households seeking a compact, easy-to-store steam iron

How to use

Fill the 0.27 L water tank with clean tap water up to the indicated level, place the iron on a stable, heat-resistant surface and plug it in. Select the appropriate temperature setting for the fabric to be ironed, allow the soleplate to heat until the indicator shows readiness, and use dry or steam mode as required. For steam ironing, move the iron smoothly along the fabric; for vertical steaming, hold the iron upright a short distance from the hanging garment and operate the steam function in short bursts. After use, switch off and unplug the iron, empty any remaining water and allow the soleplate to cool before storing.

Recommendations

To prolong performance, use clean water and perform occasional soleplate cleaning according to the manufacturer's instructions. When ironing delicate fabrics, start with a lower temperature and test on an inconspicuous area. Regularly empty the water tank after use to reduce mineral buildup and follow safety guidelines when using the vertical steam function near hanging items.
