We would like to respond openly to every negative review about us. Many are posted anonymously, so we cannot reach those customers directly. This open letter is our reply, and we would be grateful if you took a moment to read it.

But here is what a one-star review will never tell you:

  • We import from 70+ official distributors. That is why you pay far less than local retail — and why delivery takes longer. We publish the date before you pay, never after.
  • You can pay only when your goods land in Johannesburg. Pay on Arrival, no full payment up front. Ask yourself what scammer offers that.
  • Nobody has ever lost money with us. You get the product, or you get a refund. There is no third option, and there never has been.

How to use

Install the RS1619xs+ into a 1U rack space and populate the drive bays with compatible HDDs or SSDs. Connect network cables to the Gigabit LAN ports or install an optional 10GbE adapter for higher throughput. Use Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) to configure volumes, RAID levels, caching with M.2 SSDs, user permissions, and backup tasks. For increased capacity, attach a Synology RX1217/RX1217RP expansion unit and follow DSM instructions to expand storage pools.

Recommendations

For best performance in virtualized or heavy I/O environments, install additional RAM up to the supported 64 GB, enable M.2 SSD cache for hot data, and consider a 10GbE network adapter. Regularly update DSM and maintain backups according to your business retention policies.
