Stovetop espresso maker BIALETTI Moka Express 1 cup blue Joyful Memories

The BIALETTI Moka Express 1 cup in blue from the Joyful Memories series is a compact stovetop espresso maker designed to produce a single concentrated cup of coffee. Constructed from aluminium with the classic octagonal Bialetti silhouette, this model features an ergonomic handle and a simple three-part assembly for straightforward filling, brewing and cleaning. It is suitable for standard gas, electric and ceramic stovetops and intended for home use or travel when a small, reliable brew is required.

Advantages

The aluminium body provides fast heat conduction for efficient extraction, while the compact one-cup capacity minimizes wasted coffee. The familiar octagonal shape ensures consistent heat distribution across the boiler, and the ergonomic handle stays cool to the touch for safer pouring. The simple design allows quick disassembly for rinsing, and the lightweight construction makes it convenient to carry. Its blue finish from the Joyful Memories series offers a distinctive look without affecting performance.

Key specifications

• Capacity: about one espresso-style cup (single-serve)
• Material: aluminium body and lid
• Shape: classic octagonal design for even heat distribution
• Handle: ergonomic, heat-resistant handle for comfortable pouring
• Compatibility: designed for use on gas, electric and ceramic stovetops (avoid induction without adapter)
• Finish: blue colour from the Joyful Memories series

How to use

Fill the lower chamber with cold water up to the safety valve, insert the filter funnel and add finely ground coffee without pressing it down. Screw the upper chamber onto the base securely, place the moka pot on a stovetop over medium heat and wait until the coffee starts to flow into the top chamber. Remove from heat once pouring slows and let the crema settle briefly before serving. Allow the unit to cool before disassembling and rinsing with warm water; avoid dishwashers to preserve the aluminium finish.

Recommendations

Use medium-fine to fine grind coffee intended for stovetop brewing, maintain moderate heat to prevent bitter extraction, and dry components thoroughly after washing to limit aluminium oxidation. For induction cooktops, use a compatible induction adapter plate; do not apply excessive force when tightening the parts to preserve the gasket and threads.
