The NRGkick Smart Attachment Set Standard (UK) contains intelligent socket adapters for the NRGkick charging unit: Smart Attachment Type 16A 5Pole (max. 16A / 11 kW), Smart Attachment Type 16A 3Pole (max. 16A / 3.7 kW) and Smart Attachment Type G 13A (UK) (max. 13A). These Smart Attachments are compatible with the patented high-level safety connector system of the NRGkick and provide temperature monitoring, automatic recognition, and secure mechanical engagement for safe charging at domestic and industrial sockets.

Advantages

The set provides per-phase temperature monitoring and dual-pin monitoring on the domestic socket attachment to detect overheating and let NRGkick automatically regulate charging current if necessary. The patented connector system prevents arcing by interrupting current flow before contacts separate, and the system detects wrongly wired sockets to block charging and indicate faults via LEDs. An additional LED on the Connector Unit displays attachment status. The plugs offer a secure engagement and an ergonomic soft-component surface for easy handling.

How to use

Attach the selected Smart Attachment to the NRGkick Connector Unit until it engages securely. Plug the Smart Attachment into the corresponding socket (Type G 13A for UK domestic sockets, 16A 3-pole or 16A 5-pole as required). Begin charging via the NRGkick charging unit; the system will automatically recognise the Smart Attachment and limit charging current to the approved maximum. If the unit detects socket overheating, incorrect wiring, or other faults, it will display a status LED and regulate or stop charging as needed.

Recommendations

Use the Smart Attachments only with the NRGkick Connector Unit and follow local electrical regulations. Inspect sockets and plugs for visible damage before each use. If the Connector Unit indicates a fault via LEDs, stop charging and have the socket inspected by a qualified electrician.
