Short throw projector OPTOMA GT2000HDR — 3500 ANSI lumens, DLP, 1080p, 0.496:1 throw ratio, laser light source

Compact short throw Full HD laser home projector designed for energy efficiency and easy setup. The GT2000HDR combines a short throw lens and multiple connectivity options in a compact housing, offering bright 3500 lumens, Full HD 1080p resolution, HDR/HLG compatibility and DuraCore laser technology for up to 30,000 hours of operation without lamps. Its external power supply, low power consumption and recyclable packaging support reduced environmental impact while delivering accurate colour reproduction and low input latency for gaming.

Advantages

The GT2000HDR reduces power use by up to 45% compared with lamp-based Optoma models and uses mercury-free laser technology for long life and minimal maintenance. Its short throw lens projects large images from close distances, minimising shadows and simplifying placement. High brightness and Rec.709 colour reproduction ensure vivid, true-to-life images in well-lit rooms, while dual HDMI inputs and simple compatibility with HDMI dongles provide flexible connection options for consoles, streaming sticks and Blu-ray players.

For streaming apps, plug in a compatible HDMI dongle such as Chromecast, Fire TV, Apple TV or Roku. Select the appropriate picture mode (for example Game mode for reduced input lag) and, if needed, enable HDR/HLG on the source device. Adjust focus and keystone as required for a sharp, rectangular image and use room lighting to balance brightness and contrast.

Recommendations

For best results, mount or place the projector on a stable surface at the recommended short throw distance and use content in Full HD or HDR10/HLG formats when available. Regularly check ventilation and keep the projector free of dust to maintain optimal performance and lifespan.
