The BlueOptics UF-MM-10G-BO is a 10GBASE-SR SFP+ fiber-optic transceiver compatible with Ubiquiti Networks UF-MM-10G modules. Designed for multimode fiber, the module uses 850 nm VCSEL transmit and receive optics with an LC duplex connector and supports data rates up to 10,000 Mbit/s over distances up to 300 metres. The transceiver is manufactured to MSA standards and is suitable for use in switches, routers, storage systems and other hardware platforms that support the original Ubiquiti Networks UF-MM-10G SFP+ module. It is RoHS-, CE- and FCC-compliant and produced under ISO9001 processes to ensure consistent quality.

Advantages

The BlueOptics UF-MM-10G-BO provides full MSA compliance and is tested for compatibility with Ubiquiti Networks hardware to ensure plug-and-play operation. It includes digital diagnostic monitoring (DDM/DOM) compliant with SFF-8472 for real-time monitoring of voltage, laser bias current, transmit power, receive power and temperature. High-quality internal components from established vendors and controlled manufacturing processes contribute to an expected operational life above 10 years and a high MTBF, while the LC duplex interface enables simultaneous transmit and receive over separate fiber strands.

Suitable for

  • 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over multimode fiber (short range)
  • Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) and SDH/SONET applications up to 10 Gbit/s
  • Use in switches, routers, storage systems and transceiver-capable network appliances

Key specifications

  • Interface type: SFP+
  • Standard: 10GBASE-SR (multimode)
  • Wavelength: 850 nm
  • Connector: LC duplex
  • Maximum data transfer rate: 10000 Mbit/s (10 Gbit/s)
  • Maximum reach: up to 300 m (depending on fiber type and link conditions)
  • Compliance: MSA, RoHS, CE, FCC, ISO9001
  • Weight: 0.02 kg (20 g)

How to use

Insert the SFP+ transceiver into a compatible SFP+ slot on your switch, router or storage device until it latches. Connect LC duplex multimode fiber patch cords—one fibre for transmit and one for receive—to the module. Ensure the host device supports the Ubiquiti Networks UF-MM-10G profile or allows third-party transceivers. If DDM/DOM monitoring is required, verify that the host hardware exposes the diagnostic values and read them through the management interface or monitoring software.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use OM3/OM4 multimode fiber patch cords and maintain clean connectors. Verify compatibility and DDM support with your hardware vendor before deployment and request a sample if needed to test interoperability in your environment.
