The fischer stand-off insulation system TherMax 10 is designed for fixing fixtures into external walls with ETICS while avoiding thermal bridges. The stud screw with a glass-fibre reinforced cone penetrates the render and insulation and is rotated into the universal UX plug during installation to secure the fixing in the base material. An anti-cold cone at the tip of the stud screw forms a thermal barrier and retains the outer fixing. TherMax 10 is suitable for fastening light loads such as lights, letterboxes, or lightning conductors into concrete, aerated concrete, and masonry from solid and perforated brick.

How to use

Drill a hole of the specified diameter through the ETICS and insulation into the base material. Insert the universal UX plug (if used) and position the fixture at the required stand-off distance. Rotate the TherMax stud screw into the UX plug until the cone seats and secures the fixing; the glass-fibre reinforced cone will cut through the insulation for a positive fit. Tighten the screw to secure the fixture while avoiding over-torquing that could damage the ETICS. For direct timber mounting without UX, pre-drill a matching pilot hole and drive the stud screw in.
