Reolink NVS12W 12-Channel Wi-Fi 6 NVR 16MP Support 2TB HDD

The Reolink NVS12W is a next-generation Wi-Fi 6 NVR that supports up to 12 cameras with up to 16MP input per channel. It includes a pre-installed 2TB HDD and supports storage expansion up to 16TB, enabling continuous 24/7 recording and local archiving of event footage. The NVR provides centralized management for your Reolink Wi-Fi cameras and offers both local live viewing via a monitor or HD TV and remote access through the Reolink App.

Advantages

The device features Wi‑Fi 6 dual-band connectivity (5 GHz / 2.4 GHz) for stable, low-latency live streaming and four external high-gain antennas that extend wireless coverage up to approximately 1,000 m² under laboratory conditions. It supports 12 channels at up to 16MP each, continuous recording to the internal 2TB HDD (expandable up to 16TB), and provides centralized, local and remote access to camera feeds.

Suitable for

• Multi-camera home surveillance systems
• Small office or retail locations requiring centralized recording
• Properties needing high-resolution (up to 16MP) video monitoring
• Setups that require both local (monitor/TV) and remote (mobile app) live viewing

How to use

Install the NVS12W in a dry, ventilated location near your cameras and a display if you plan to use local live viewing. Connect the unit to power and follow the Reolink setup procedure to add Wi‑Fi cameras to the NVR via the app or local interface. Configure recording schedules, resolution (up to 16MP per channel) and storage settings; verify that the HDD is recognized and, if required, upgrade the HDD to a supported larger drive (up to 16TB) following manufacturer instructions. Use the Reolink App for remote viewing and system management.

Recommendations

For best wireless performance place the NVR centrally relative to your cameras, avoid large physical obstructions between the NVR and Wi‑Fi cameras, and choose the optimal band (5 GHz for lower latency and higher throughput, 2.4 GHz for better range) based on site conditions. Actual wireless coverage may vary from laboratory figures.
