The Alphacool NexXxoS 1260 SuperNova Radiator provides an extensive 400 x 400 x 45 mm pure cooling surface designed for large-scale liquid cooling setups. Constructed with full-copper end chambers, water channels and fins, this radiator maximizes thermal transfer and serves as a high-capacity solution for demanding cooling requirements. It supports up to four 200 mm fans on one side (154 mm hole spacing) and up to nine 140 mm fans on the opposite side; mounting plates can be removed for passive operation or swapped to suit installation needs. Two G1/4" ports serve as inlet and outlet, with a third G1/4" port on the rear for filling, a temperature sensor, or draining.

Advantages

All primary hydraulic and thermal components — end chambers, channels and cooling fins — are made from copper, delivering higher thermal conductivity than aluminium and improving overall cooling efficiency. The radiator uses a specially optimized fin density (12 FPI) and serrated fin surfaces to direct airflow and increase effective surface area while keeping airflow resistance low, which reduces noise and allows efficient performance even with low-pressure fans. How to use

Install the radiator in your case or external housing and choose the preferred fan configuration by fitting the included mounting plates for 200 mm or 140 mm fans; plates can be interchanged or removed for passive operation. Connect the cooling loop using the two G1/4" threaded ports for inlet and outlet. Use the rear G1/4" port as a fill point during loop filling, or attach a temperature sensor or drain fitting as needed. Ensure fans are oriented to provide consistent airflow through the fin array and verify all fittings are tightened to prevent leaks.

Recommendations

Use corrosion-inhibited coolant and perform regular maintenance: flush and refill the loop periodically, check fittings for tightness, and keep the fin surfaces free of dust. For optimal balance of airflow and noise, pair the radiator with low- to medium-static-pressure fans when using the 12 FPI configuration; higher-pressure fans are not required and may increase noise without significant cooling gain.
