How to use

Place the Datacolor CR100 on the sample surface so the measurement aperture sits flush with the material, then initiate the reading using the device controls. Hold the instrument steady during the measurement to ensure repeatable results. Compare the displayed color coordinates to reference values stored in the device or transfer data according to the device's supported workflow to a computer or companion app for further analysis. Follow any manufacturer instructions for calibration or periodic verification to maintain measurement accuracy.

Recommendations

For best results, measure samples on flat, clean, and uniformly colored areas; avoid measuring textured, glossy, or translucent materials without checking suitability. Perform calibration or reference checks as recommended by the manufacturer and record measurement conditions (lighting, surface state) to improve repeatability and traceability of color data.
