The DIGITUS PoE+ Repeater DN-95123 extends an existing PoE connection beyond the standard 100 m limit by repeating the Ethernet signal and PoE power. The compact Gigabit device supports 10/100/1000 Mbit/s data rates, complies with IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards, supplies up to 22 W, and draws its power from the incoming PoE feed, so no external power adapter is required.

How to use

Insert the DN-95123 into an existing Ethernet cable run between your network switch and the PoE device. The repeater draws power from the incoming PoE line and automatically detects PoE-capable devices; no configuration is required. For longer runs, chain additional repeaters, ensuring each unit is placed roughly every 100 m to maintain signal and power delivery.

Recommendations

Place the unit in a dry, ventilated location and use quality shielded or unshielded CAT5e/CAT6 cables to preserve Gigabit performance. Do not exceed the recommended number of repeaters per link beyond manufacturer guidance to ensure reliable power and data transmission.
