OBO BS-U1-M-22 FT U-Bolt Clamp 2056 16-22mm Hot-Dip Galvanized 1186516

Electricians and installers working on cable tray and conduit systems often need a reliable way to secure pipes and cables to structural steel. The OBO BS-U1-M-22 FT U-bolt clamp answers that need with a hot-dip galvanized steel body that handles clamping diameters from 16 to 22 mm. Its U-shape wraps around the pipe or cable, while the M6 thread and included hexagonal nuts provide a firm, vibration-resistant hold. The clamp is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, thanks to its high corrosion protection and UV resistance. It meets DIN 3570 standards and is made from S235JR structural steel, ensuring consistent quality and long service life. The metallic grey finish blends well with industrial environments, and the surface mounting design allows quick installation on beams, channels, or brackets.

Why choose it

This clamp is built for demanding environments. The hot-dip galvanizing provides a thick, durable zinc layer that protects against rust and corrosion, even in wet or outdoor conditions. The S235JR steel offers excellent strength and ductility, so the clamp can withstand mechanical stress without cracking. The M6 thread and two nuts allow for precise tightening, ensuring the clamped object stays securely in place. The wide temperature range makes it suitable for both cold storage and high-heat industrial settings. With DIN 3570 compliance, you can trust that the clamp meets rigorous dimensional and material standards.

Ideal use cases

• Securing electrical conduits to cable trays in industrial plants
• Mounting pipes and tubes on outdoor racks or building facades
• Fastening cables in solar panel installations
• Clamping hydraulic or pneumatic lines in machinery
• Use in marine or coastal environments where corrosion resistance is critical

Good to know

The clamp is supplied with two hexagonal nuts, so you don't need to source additional fasteners. For installation, drill a hole in the mounting surface, insert the threaded ends of the U-bolt, and tighten the nuts from the other side. The 16-22 mm range covers common pipe sizes like 3/4 inch and 1/2 inch nominal. Always ensure the clamp is properly torqued to avoid loosening due to vibration. The metallic grey finish is the natural colour of hot-dip galvanized steel and may vary slightly between batches.
