How to use

Install the NVR in a secure, ventilated location and connect IP cameras to the PoE+ ports using Ethernet cables; the same cables deliver power and data to supported VIGI cameras and many ONVIF-compliant cameras. Connect an HDMI monitor to view live or recorded video. Use the VIGI app, web UI or VIGI Security Manager to configure recording schedules, user accounts, motion detection and network settings. Insert additional SATA HDDs if more storage is required and format them via the system interface.

Recommendations

For reliable 24/7 recording, mount cameras with appropriate weather and vandal protection for the environment, use CAT5e or better Ethernet cabling for PoE connections, and schedule regular checks of HDD health. Keep firmware updated and limit remote access to trusted accounts to maintain system security.
