How to use

Mount the 1U appliance into a standard rack bay and connect cameras to the integrated 24‑port PoE switch. Start the preloaded AXIS Recorder Toolbox and follow the setup wizard to configure hostname, network settings and date/time. Configure storage and choose the RAID level that meets your redundancy and retention needs, then apply the included AXIS Camera Station Pro licenses. To enable cloud backup, activate AXIS Camera Station Cloud Storage. Use the built‑in dashboard to monitor system status, switch uptime and perform maintenance or software updates.

Recommendations

Install the appliance in a controlled rack environment with restricted physical access, enable secure boot and TPM‑backed encryption where available, and apply network segmentation to isolate recording devices from public or corporate networks.
