The PULSAR S108 Fast Ethernet Power over Ethernet network switch provides 10 RJ-45 ports with Fast Ethernet (10/100) performance and integrated PoE support. Designed to supply power to compatible devices, the switch supports IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards on ports 1–8 with automatic detection of PoE and PoE+ devices. How to use

Install the PULSAR S108 on a stable surface or mount it in a rack if suitable. Connect the switch to your network using the uplink RJ-45 port to an upstream router or switch. Plug compatible PoE devices into ports 1–8; the switch will automatically detect and supply power to devices that conform to IEEE 802.3af/at. Use the front-panel LEDs to verify link status and PoE activity. Connect non-PoE devices to any remaining ports. Ensure the 52 V DC power adapter is securely connected and rated for the expected PoE load before powering the device.

Recommendations

Place the switch in a ventilated area and avoid covering vents. Calculate total PoE power requirements of connected devices to ensure the switch and its power supply can support the load.
