How to use

Connect one end of the cable to the main unit and the other end to the remote unit or the appropriate port. Select the desired test mode and run the test; the display and indicators will report correct wiring, open, short, or crossed pairs and, where applicable, approximate fault distance up to 300 m. Use Quick Test mode to obtain rapid pass/fail results for multiple cables. Use Blinking Hub/Switch Mode when you need to locate the port on a connected hub or switch.

Recommendations

For accurate results, use fresh 9V battery power and verify connectors are clean and fully inserted. When testing long runs, ensure both ends are accessible for the remote unit. Store the main unit, remote and accessories in the supplied travel case to protect components during transport.
