How to use

Connect one end of the cable to the main unit and the other end to the remote terminator (or to the port under test). Turn on the tester and observe the LED sequence to identify wiring order, open/short faults or crossed pairs. To check for PoE, connect the tester to the network port and read the PoE finder indication which shows whether PoE is present and whether it is on endspan or midspan pairs. Use the remote to test cables already installed in walls or patch panels.

Recommendations

Use the tester on de-energized lines where possible and follow standard safety procedures. For accurate PoE detection, connect directly to the port or cable pair under test and avoid adapters that may change wiring. Store the unit and remote in a protective case to prevent damage during transport.
