How to use

For face drill holes, set the drill bit depth stop to match the board thickness and dowel length. Place the Dowelmaster on the face edge of the board, secure it between the two centring bolts and drill through the chosen guide bush to reach the exact centre of the face side. For edge-to-edge joints, clamp both boards, insert a dowel pin into the first board, then push the Dowelmaster with the guide slot over the pin and drill through the bush in the second board. For corner joints, first drill and glue dowel pins into the face board, then fit the pinned board against the undrilled board, adjust the stop by guiding a dowel pin into the appropriate bush and locking the stop with the adjustment screw, then drill into the lower board with the stop seated against its edge. For T-butt joints, after gluing dowel pins into the face of the first board, mark the centre line on the side board, clamp the bottom board 4 cm from that line, push the Dowelmaster over the pinned dowel and drill through the top bush.

Use sharp wood drill bits matched to the selected guide bush (6/8/10 mm) and check depth settings on scrap material before drilling final parts. Clamp workpieces securely and apply steady, even pressure while drilling to avoid damage to guides or boards.
