Moka pot Maestro MR-1660-9, stovetop coffee maker for 6 cups, black

The Moka pot Maestro MR-1660-9 is a stovetop coffee maker designed to brew up to six cups of espresso-style coffee using steam pressure. With a compact form factor and black finish, this manual percolator is intended for use on compatible gas, electric and ceramic cooktops. The metal construction provides thermal conduction for consistent extraction while the two-chamber design separates the water and brewed coffee to deliver a concentrated, full-bodied cup.

Advantages

The Moka pot offers a simple, mechanical brewing process without the need for electricity or pods, making it suitable where a manual brewer is preferred. Its compact size and black finish save counter space and blend with various kitchen decors. The metal build supports fast heating and straightforward maintenance: the parts can be disassembled for cleaning and the design is durable under normal household use.

How to use

Fill the lower chamber with clean water up to the safety valve, insert the coffee basket and add finely ground coffee without tamping, then screw the upper chamber on securely. Place the moka pot on a compatible cooktop over medium heat and wait until the brewed coffee rises into the upper chamber. Remove from heat as soon as the flow subsides to avoid overheating. Let the coffee settle briefly, then pour and serve. Allow the unit to cool before disassembling for cleaning.

Recommendations

Use freshly ground coffee for best flavour and avoid overfilling the basket. Clean the moka pot regularly by rinsing parts with warm water; avoid abrasive cleaners and dishwashers unless the manufacturer specifies dishwasher safety. When using on ceramic or electric stoves, apply moderate heat to prevent burning; if you are uncertain about induction compatibility, consult the cooktop guidelines or test with a small amount of water first.
