Managed L2+ Network Switch PLANET IGS-5225-4P2S

PLANET IGS-5225-4P2S is an industrial L2+ managed Gigabit Ethernet switch in a compact IP40 rugged case. It provides 4 10/100/1000BASE-T PoE+ ports (each up to 36 W) and 2 100/1000X fiber ports, a switching capacity of 12 Gbit/s and an 8K MAC address table. Designed for harsh environments, the switch supports IPv4/IPv6 management, Layer 3 static routing, Modbus TCP integration and IEEE 1588 timing, and operates reliably from -40 to 75 °C.

How to use

Mount the IGS-5225-4P2S on wall or DIN rail according to the installation guide, connect DC power to the terminal block and link devices to the RJ-45 PoE ports or fiber ports. Access the switch through the Web GUI, console or SNMP for initial configuration: set up VLANs, static routes, PoE schedules and ring topology (G.8032) as required. Use the ONVIF discovery from the GUI to locate connected IP cameras and configure PoE reboot or scheduled recycling for powered devices.

Recommendations

For reliable operation in industrial settings, use appropriate SFP transceivers rated for your fiber distance and maintain redundant power sources.
