The ATEN KH1516A KVM switch allows one keyboard, monitor and mouse (KVM) console to control up to 16 directly connected computers using space-saving RJ-45 connectors and Cat 5e/6 cabling. The unit supports mixed KVM console and computer combinations (USB and PS/2) and offers high video quality with support for resolutions up to 1600x1200@60Hz at distances up to 40 meters and 1280x1024@75Hz up to 50 meters. The KH1516A is firmware-upgradeable and can be daisy-chained with up to 31 additional units to manage as many as 512 computers from a single console.

How to use

Connect the KVM console (keyboard, monitor, mouse) to the console ports, then connect each target computer to the KH1516A using Cat 5e/6 cabling and the appropriate KVM adapter cables. Select connected computers using the front-panel pushbuttons, hotkey sequence or the on-screen display. Configure user accounts and port access rights via the OSD to restrict or grant control as required. For larger installations, daisy-chain additional KH1516A units using the recommended cabling and adapters to expand control to more servers.
