Once connected, the host system typically recognizes the display automatically; if necessary, select the external display in the operating system display settings to configure resolution, orientation and multiple-display mode. No additional software is usually required when the host port supports Alt Mode and provides proper video output.

Recommendations

Before use, verify that your laptop, tablet or phone supports DisplayPort Alt Mode over its USB-C/Thunderbolt port. Use a high-quality DisplayPort cable rated for 4K/60 Hz to ensure stable video and audio transmission. Avoid excessive bending or pulling on the integrated cable and disconnect by pulling the connector body rather than the cable. If the display is not detected, check the device’s user manual or contact the device manufacturer to confirm USB-C video output capabilities.
