Before you believe a bad review about us

We would like to respond openly to every negative review about us. Many are posted anonymously, so we cannot reach those customers directly. This open letter is our reply, and we would be grateful if you took a moment to read it.

But here is what a one-star review will never tell you:

  • We import from 70+ official distributors. That is why you pay far less than local retail — and why delivery takes longer. We publish the date before you pay, never after.
  • You can pay only when your goods land in Johannesburg. Pay on Arrival, no full payment up front. Ask yourself what scammer offers that.
  • Nobody has ever lost money with us. You get the product, or you get a refund. There is no third option, and there never has been.
  • We are part of the ITwork group — ten years trading in Europe, nine stores, thousands of positive reviews.
  • Johannesburg and Cape Town stores open this year — real shelves, real stock, walk in and buy the same day.

We are not satisfied with our review scores, and we are not going to fix them by hiding anything. We are fixing them by being faster, clearer and easier to reach than any reason to complain.

Read the full letter — photos and video of real shipments, and a straight answer to every accusation.

Problem with an order right now? Write to [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected] — answered the same business day. The letter also lists our group and store owners' contacts.

The Hikvision DS-2CD2786G2-IZS(2.8-12mm)(C) is a 4K IP security camera in a dome form factor designed for indoor and outdoor use. It delivers 3840 x 2160 resolution from a CMOS sensor and uses a 2.8–12 mm varifocal lens to provide flexible fields of view. The camera supports 355° rotation and offers wide horizontal and vertical coverage with a detection range up to 214 m. Wired Ethernet connectivity and a white housing suit ceiling or wall mounting in professional surveillance installations.

Advantages

Equipped with Hikvision AcuSense deep-learning algorithms, the camera classifies human and vehicle targets to reduce false alarms and improve detection relevance. High-resolution 4K imaging and a varifocal 2.8–12 mm lens allow detailed monitoring and adaptable framing. Robust placement options and wired Ethernet ensure stable connection for continuous recording in indoor and outdoor environments.

Suitable for

  • Perimeter and facility surveillance
  • Parking lots and access roads monitoring
  • Indoor public areas and large rooms
  • Retail and warehouse security

  • Lens: 2.8–12 mm varifocal
  • Sensor: CMOS
  • Rotation: 355°
  • Field of view: ~108° horizontal, ~58° vertical
  • Detection distance: up to 214 m
  • Connectivity: Wired Ethernet
  • Placement: Indoor & outdoor
  • Mounting: Ceiling/Wall
  • Colour: White
  • Weight: 1.08 kg
  • Features: Video motion detection, AcuSense human/vehicle classification

How to use

Mount the dome camera on a suitable ceiling or wall surface and connect it to a network switch or PoE injector using Ethernet cabling. Configure the camera through Hikvision’s management software or web interface to set resolution, lens zoom/focus, rotation limits and recording parameters. Enable AcuSense target classification and tune sensitivity levels to match the installation environment. Integrate the camera with a recording device, VMS or cloud service as required for continuous monitoring and event storage.

Recommendations

Place the camera at a height and angle that provide unobstructed sight lines for the intended coverage area; avoid direct exposure to strong lights or reflective surfaces that may affect image quality. For long-distance detection, use the telephoto end of the 2.8–12 mm lens and adjust focus precisely. Regularly update the camera firmware and review AcuSense settings to maintain classification accuracy and minimize false alarms.
