The Intellinet PoE Injector provides Gigabit (10/100/1000 Mbps) Ethernet connectivity and delivers up to 95 W of power over all four pairs of twisted-pair cabling, compliant with the IEEE 802.3bt Ultra PoE standard. It enables powering and data transfer over a single network cable for devices such as lighting, sensors, building automation, point-of-sale terminals, motorized IP cameras and other high-power PoE devices. The injector is also backward compatible with IEEE 802.3af/at powered devices and includes LED indicators for data, PoE and power status. The compact unit supports a maximum cabling distance of 100 m and meets RoHS, CE and FCC A requirements.

How to use

Connect the injector's data input port to a non‑PoE LAN switch port using standard Ethernet cabling. Plug the powered device into the injector's PoE output port with a Cat5e or better cable, ensuring total cable length does not exceed 100 m. Connect the injector to AC mains power, verify the power LED is lit and check the PoE and data LEDs to confirm power and network connectivity. The injector will deliver DC power and data over the same cable to the connected PoE device.

Recommendations

Use Cat5e or higher quality twisted-pair cable and keep individual cable runs within the 100 m limit. Verify that the powered device complies with IEEE 802.3bt (or 802.3af/at for lower-power devices) and check the device's maximum power draw to ensure it does not exceed the injector's 95 W budget.
