How to use

Install the AP-205 on a ceiling or wall using the manufacturer-supplied mounting kit and connect it to the wired network using an Ethernet cable. Power the unit via Power over Ethernet (PoE) from a compatible switch or PoE injector. Adopt the access point into the existing Aruba controller or cloud management account following Aruba’s provisioning procedure to apply SSIDs, security settings and policies. Place access points to provide overlapping coverage while avoiding sources of radio interference and ensure proper channel planning if using controller-managed radio settings.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, place the AP-205 centrally in the coverage area with minimal obstructions, keep firmware up to date through the management platform, and configure separate SSIDs or VLANs for guest and corporate traffic. Use channel planning and power tuning via the Aruba controller to reduce co-channel interference in dense deployments.
