Hikvision Pro Series Bullet IP Security Camera DS-2CD2087G2H-LIU/SL 4mm Outdoor 3840×2160 30fps ColorVu Wall-mount

The Hikvision Pro Series Bullet IP Security Camera DS-2CD2087G2H-LIU/SL is a 8 MP outdoor mini bullet camera designed for fixed wall-mount surveillance with ColorVu technology. It captures 3840×2160 resolution video at 30 fps using a 1/1.8" CMOS sensor and a 4 mm fixed lens that provides a wide horizontal field of view. The camera supports wired Ethernet connectivity, offers a 360° rotation range for installation adjustment, and is built in a white, weather-resistant housing suitable for outdoor placement. Intelligent features include video motion detection, human and vehicle classification based on deep learning, and hybrid lighting functionality that combines an F1.0 super-aperture lens, high-performance sensor and auxiliary lighting for improved low-light color imaging.

Advantages

ColorVu imaging and the F1.0 aperture deliver brighter, color-rich images in low-light conditions without relying solely on infrared, improving identification and monitoring at night. The camera supports efficient H.265+ compression to reduce bandwidth and storage requirements while maintaining high-resolution footage. Wide dynamic range (up to 130 dB) helps keep subjects visible in scenes with strong backlight, and built-in two-way audio, active strobe and audio alarm functions provide real-time interaction and deterrence. The housing meets IP67 protection for dust and water resistance for outdoor use.

Suitable for

• Perimeter and exterior wall surveillance of homes and small businesses
• Parking lots and driveways where color nighttime imaging is required
• Entrances and access points where human or vehicle detection and classification are needed
• Areas requiring high-resolution monitoring for identification and evidence

How to use

Install the camera on an exterior wall using the included wall-mount points and adjust the housing to achieve the desired field of view within its rotation range. Connect the camera to a wired Ethernet network for power and data (PoE if supported by your installation) and configure network settings and recording parameters through Hikvision-compatible NVR software or the camera web interface. Enable or adjust ColorVu, WDR and exposure settings to balance color performance and highlight handling. Configure motion detection, human/vehicle classification, alarm triggers and two-way audio in the device settings to match the monitoring scenario.

Recommendations

For reliable outdoor performance, mount the camera under an eave or use a suitable weather hood to reduce direct exposure to rain and sunlight. Position the camera to cover primary approach routes at a height that supports recognition distances (recognition up to approximately 22 m, detection up to approximately 111 m) while ensuring the field of view captures required details. Use H.265+ compression and set appropriate recording schedules to optimize storage, and test alarm and two-way audio functions after installation.
