Hammer face Wiha 831-9

The Wiha 831-9 hammer face is a replacement hammer head made of very hard polyamide (Nylon®). It is colourfast, wear-resistant and designed to deliver firm strikes while minimising damage to striking surfaces. Supplied as a pack of two, each insert has a diameter of approximately 3 cm and a lightweight construction of about 27 g, suitable for use where a durable, non-marring striking face is required in construction and precision work.

How to use

Fit the hammer faces to a compatible hammer or hammer handle according to the tool manufacturer's instructions, ensuring a secure and stable mount before use. Use the hammer with controlled strikes appropriate to the material being worked on; the polyamide face is intended to deliver firm impacts while reducing surface damage compared with metal faces. Inspect the faces regularly for wear and replace both inserts in the pack when performance is noticeably reduced.

Recommendations

Do not use the nylon/polyamide face on striking surfaces at extremely high temperatures or for continuous heavy-duty steel-on-steel striking, as this may accelerate wear. Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve colourfastness and material properties.
