The GASTROBACK Design Plancha & BBQ contact grill 2000 W stainless steel is a rectangular contact grill with a 2000 W heating element and stainless steel housing. It features two reversible die-cast aluminum grilling plates—one smooth plancha surface and one ridged BBQ surface—offering an extra-large combined grilling area of approximately 1300 cm². The plates are removable, have a non-stick coating and are dishwasher-safe. The unit includes an adjustable thermostat with six settings from 90° to 240°C (±10°C), an integrated grease drip-tray, a stainless steel splash guard, and a cleaning spatula.

How to use

Fit the desired grilling plate orientation (smooth or ridged) and place the removable plates into the housing. Plug in the appliance, switch it on and set the thermostat to the required temperature between 90° and 240°C. Preheat until the selected temperature is reached, then place food on the plate and monitor cooking time according to the recipe. Use the integrated grease drip-tray to collect fat. After use, switch off and unplug the unit, allow plates to cool, then remove plates for cleaning or place them in the dishwasher if required. Wipe the housing and splash guard with a damp cloth.

Recommendations

For best results, preheat the grill before placing food on the plates, avoid using metal utensils that can damage the non-stick coating, and remove excess marinades to reduce smoke and dripping. Use the smooth plancha for delicate foods and the ridged plate for steaks and sausages to achieve grill marks.
