How to use

Place the Magellan 1500i on the counter or mount it using one of the available mounting options and connect it to a host system via USB. Present items with bar codes within the scanner’s reading area at distances up to about 25 cm. The device will read codes automatically in presentation mode; if picked up, Motionix™ switches the scanner to handheld mode, enabling the LED aimer and Green Spot good-read confirmation. Use standard host software or POS integration to receive decoded data.

Recommendations

For consistent results, keep the scanner’s window clean and position bar codes within the central reading area. Use the scanner in indoor environments consistent with its IP52 rating and avoid prolonged exposure to heavy dust or direct water spray. Ensure host software supports 1D/2D and Digimarc decoding features where required.
