How to use

Place the Magellan 1500i on the counter and connect it to a host system via the supplied USB cable. Present printed or mobile barcodes within the scanner’s reading area; the unit’s illumination and decoding algorithms will read codes up to 25 cm away. If you pick up the scanner, Motionix™ detects motion and switches to handheld mode, enabling the LED aimer and Green Spot confirmation. Return the scanner to the counter to resume presentation mode automatically.

Recommendations

For best results, position items so barcodes face the scanner and avoid extreme angles. Keep the scanner housing and window clean and protected from direct liquid exposure despite its IP52 rating. Use USB power compliant with the specified 5 V/500 mA to ensure stable operation.
