Fitting EK Water Blocks STC 10/16

EK-Quantum Torque STC 10/16 fittings are minimalistic soft-tube compression fittings for 10/16 mm (ID/OD) flexible tubing such as PVC, EPDM, Norprene, silicone and other compatible soft tubes. Manufactured from CNC-machined brass with a satin titanium finish, the fitting and compression ring use rubber O-rings for sealing. The fittings are compatible with EK-Quantum series products and other EK Water Blocks liquid-cooling components. Aesthetic color rings are sold separately and screw onto the fitting beneath the compression ring.

Advantages

The design provides a low-profile, non-branded appearance while offering a reliable compression mechanism that clamps the tubing wall under the locking ring to prevent the tube from being pulled off the barb. Grooves on the outside of the ring allow easier hand tightening, and the compression ring features cutouts that reveal optional colored aesthetic rings. The inside of the barb includes an 8 mm hex socket to aid installation and reduce fingertip damage during fitting attachment. Satin finish parts are not painted internally to minimise potential contaminants in the loop.

How to use

Slide the optional aesthetic ring onto the fitting (sold separately) before fitting the compression ring. Insert the compatible 10/16 mm soft tube onto the barb until it seats against the fitting shoulder. Place the compression ring over the tubing and hand-tighten until the locking ring compresses the tubing wall beneath it. For final tightening, insert an 8 mm Allen key into the hex socket in the barb to prevent fingertip injury; tighten without excessive force to avoid damaging the fitting or adjacent components.

Recommendations

Do not use excessive torque when tightening with an 8 mm Allen key. Use only compatible soft tubing types and check seals for leaks after installation. Aesthetic rings are sold separately; ensure they are installed before the compression ring if desired.
