EK-Quantum Torque HDC 14 fittings are minimalistic 14 mm hard-tube compression fittings intended for use with solid tubing such as acrylic and PETG. The fittings feature a non-branded, low-profile industrial design and can be fitted with interchangeable aesthetic color rings (sold separately). The Torque family is compatible with EK-Quantum series products and covers a wide range of adapters, extenders, splitters, plugs, drain valves and fittings.

Advantages

The fittings combine CNC-machined brass construction with nickel plating followed by a genuine gold finish on the barb and compression rings, and use quality rubber O-rings for sealing. A locking compression ring secures the solid tube by compressing the rubber gasket, while external grooves on the ring improve manual tightening. The compression ring includes cutouts in the EK Quantum signature shape to reveal the optional colored ring. The barb interior is socketed for a 9 mm Allen key to allow secure installation without damaging fingertips.

How to use

Slide the appropriate aesthetic color ring onto the fitting (if used) before fitting the compression locking ring. Insert the 14 mm hard tube into the barb, then place and tighten the compression locking ring by hand until the rubber gasket is compressed and the tube is secured. For final tightening of the barb use a 9 mm Allen key inserted into the internal hex socket; apply moderate torque and avoid excessive force to prevent damage to the fitting or other cooling components.

Recommendations

Use a 9 mm Allen key (sold separately) to tighten the barb and avoid using pliers or other tools that may damage the external finish. Do not over-tighten; excessive force can damage the fitting or connected components. Aesthetic rings are sold separately and should be installed prior to the compression ring.
