Fibre optic cable ROLINE 21.15.8650 LC LC/LC OM4 0.5 m Violet

The ROLINE Fibre Optic Uniboot LSOH Patch Cord LC/LC in OM4 quality is a 0.5 m duplex fibre patch cable designed for high-performance fibre optic cabling. With LC connectors on both ends and OM4 multimode fibre (50 µm core), this uniboot cable provides a compact solution for full-duplex communication and high-density installations. The violet-coloured cable supports reliable high-speed data transmission and allows easy polarity changes without special tools.

Advantages

The uniboot design combines two fibres in a single, space-saving jacket, reducing connector bulk and improving rack density. OM4 multimode fibre offers enhanced bandwidth for short-range, high-speed links. The LSOH (low smoke zero halogen) jacket increases safety in confined environments. LC connectors provide standardized, secure connections compatible with common networking equipment.

Suitable for

• High-density patch panels and data centre racks
• Short-range high-speed links (InfiniBand, Ethernet)
• Structured cabling in offices and server rooms
• Environments requiring LSOH cabling for safety

How to use

Connect the LC connectors to matching LC ports on your network devices or patch panels, ensuring correct alignment of transmit and receive channels. The uniboot design uses a single jacket for both fibres; if polarity reversal is required, change the fibre polarity by adjusting the connector orientation according to your patch panel or transceiver documentation—no special tools are needed. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and secure it in cable management trays or tie points to maintain minimum bend radius and signal integrity.

Recommendations

Use this OM4 LC/LC uniboot patch cord in high-density environments and short-reach, high-speed applications such as InfiniBand or 10/40/100 Gigabit Ethernet. Maintain appropriate bend radius, avoid physical stress on connectors, and follow equipment vendor guidelines for polarity and connector cleaning to ensure optimal performance.
