The InLine® fiber optic coupler in the built-in version enables a reliable and permanent connection of two LC/LC single-mode fiber optic cables directly in SC simplex-compatible front panels. It has been specially developed for professional applications in data centers, industrial plants and telecommunications environments.
The precise ceramic sleeve minimizes loss of attenuation and ensures accurate fibre routing. The robust metal holder provides a stable hold, even with frequent use or vibration. The housing complies with the UL 94V0 fire protection standard and is therefore also suitable for safety-relevant environments. An integrated laser protection cover and the supplied dust protection cap offer additional protection for technology and personnel.

How to use

Align the LC connectors of the single-mode patch cords with the adapter ports and insert them until they click into place. Ensure connectors are clean before mating to avoid contamination and increased loss. To disconnect, depress the LC connector latch and gently pull the connector out. Use appropriate fibre cleaning tools and procedures when installing or reconfiguring links.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, clean all fibre endfaces with a lint-free wipe and fibre-safe cleaner before connection, avoid excessive bending of single-mode fibres near the adapter, and secure cabling to prevent mechanical strain on the adapter and connectors.
