The Noctua NA-FH1 is an 8-channel PWM fan hub that lets you power and control up to eight 4-pin PWM or 3-pin fans from a single PWM motherboard header or from stand-alone controllers such as the optional NA-FC1. It supports 12V and 5V fans, can be powered via an S-ATA input (up to 54W for 12V fans) or a 4-pin PWM input (up to 24W for 5V or 12V fans), and includes overcurrent protection with self-resetting fuses. Status LEDs provide simple monitoring and its magnetic rear allows quick attachment to steel surfaces. The NA-FH1 carries CE, UKCA and UL certifications and is covered by Noctua’s 6-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Advantages

The NA-FH1 offers flexible power options with automatic priority for S-ATA when both inputs are connected, allowing safe control of high-power fans while keeping motherboard headers protected. It supports both 4-pin PWM control and 3-pin fans via keyed connectors, transmits RPM from the first port to the motherboard, and provides per-port status LEDs for immediate fault detection. Compact dimensions, strong neodymium magnets and included 30cm input cable simplify installation in a variety of PC and 5V/12V applications.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

  • Building or upgrading PC cooling systems with multiple PWM or 3-pin fans
  • Controlling several 5V Noctua fans from power banks or USB adapters (with appropriate cables)
  • Using with optional NA-FC1 controller to manage multiple fan speeds centrally
  • Deployments that require safe overcurrent protection and RPM/status monitoring

Key specifications

  • Model: Noctua NA-FH1
  • Channels: 8 PWM fan outputs
  • Inputs: S-ATA (up to 54W, 12V fans), 4-pin PWM input (up to 24W, 5V/12V fans)
  • Fan compatibility: 4-pin PWM and 3-pin fans, 5V and 12V operation
  • Protection: Auto-resetting fuses for overcurrent/short-circuit protection
  • Monitoring: RPM signal forwarded from port 1; per-port status LEDs
  • Physical: magnetic rear, includes 30cm NA-EC1 input cable
  • Certifications & warranty: CE, UKCA, UL; 6-year manufacturer’s warranty

How to use

Connect the NA-FH1 to your system using the supplied 30cm input cable to a motherboard PWM header or to an external controller like the NA-FC1. For higher power setups connect the S-ATA input to your PSU; when both S-ATA and 4-pin inputs are present the hub will draw power from S-ATA and use the 4-pin for PWM and RPM signals only. Attach fans to the keyed output connectors: 4-pin fans will receive PWM control, while 3-pin fans can be powered and their speed adjusted by lowering input voltage. Position the hub on a steel surface using the magnets or secure it with tape on non-magnetic surfaces. Observe the warning to keep at least 5 cm distance from hard disk drives.

Recommendations

When powering via a motherboard fan header, check your motherboard manual for the header’s maximum current and avoid exceeding it. Do not place the hub directly on hard drives—maintain at least 5 cm clearance. For long cable runs, use Noctua extension cables (NA-SEC1/NA-SEC3) and consider using the S-ATA input for high-power fans to prevent overloading motherboard fan headers.
