Extralink SC/APC-SC/APC Flat Patchcord drop single mode Simplex G.657A2 150m

Patchcord SC/APC-SC/APC SM G.657A2 SIMPLEX 150M FLAT DROP — single-mode simplex fiber patchcord with G.657A2 fiber, 150 m length and 3 mm cable diameter. Terminated with SC/APC connectors on both ends, it is intended for connecting optical networking equipment such as switches, media converters and FTTH devices (OLT, ONU/ONT).

Advantages

The Extralink SC/APC-SC/APC flat patchcord offers low bend sensitivity due to the G.657A2 fiber classification, compact 3 mm flat cable construction for neat installation in drop and indoor routes, and SC/APC terminations that provide low back reflection suitable for single-mode networks and FTTH deployments.

Suitable for

• FTTH drop connections between OLT and ONU/ONT
• Interconnection of switches and media converters in single-mode networks
• Indoor fiber routing in apartments, offices and telecom enclosures

Key specifications

• Fiber type: single-mode G.657A2
• Connector type: SC/APC — SC/APC (simplex)
• Length: 150 m
• Cable diameter: 3 mm (flat drop cable)
• Pack type: simplex patchcord

How to use

Route the flat patchcord along the intended drop or indoor path, avoiding sharp bends and mechanical stress. Insert the SC/APC connectors into compatible SC/APC ports on the devices, ensuring proper key alignment and a secure connection. For best performance, keep connector endfaces clean and inspect with a fiber scope or cleaning tools before mating.

Recommendations

Maintain bend radius according to G.657A2 guidelines, store the cable without tight coils, and clean SC/APC endfaces before each installation to minimise insertion loss and back reflection.
