The EXSYS EX-1183HMVS-2 is a compact USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub with a Type-B host interface and four screw-able Type-A downstream ports. It supports data transfer rates up to 5000 Mbit/s, offers 15 kV ESD surge protection on each output and supplies up to 1.5 A per port for charging mobile devices. Housed in a durable metal enclosure and powered by a wide-range DC input (7–48 V), the hub is suitable for desktop, notebook, server and rack-mounted installations where reliable USB connectivity is required.

How to use

Attach the supplied EX-K1571V Type-B cable to the hub using the finger screws and connect the other end to a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-B host port on a notebook, desktop or server. Connect up to four USB Type-A devices to the downstream ports; tighten the screws on each downstream connector if a secure connection is required. Provide appropriate DC power within the 7–48 V input range before using the hub to enable charging and full data transfer functionality. Mount the hub on a wall, under a desk or in a rack if fixed installation is needed.

Recommendations

For reliable operation keep cable runs short and use shielded USB cables where possible. When mounting in a 19-inch cabinet, use the recommended EX-6099 adapter for secure rack installation. Ensure the DC supply meets the device voltage range and current requirements to support multiple charging ports simultaneously.
