Glass wall thermostat Homematic IP with CO₂ sensor — mechanical, black, 230 V, IP20

The Homematic IP Glass wall thermostat with CO₂ sensor in black is a mechanical room thermostat designed to regulate indoor temperature while displaying humidity and CO₂ concentration. It operates from 230 V AC and has IP20 protection, combining a glass surface with touch controls and an integrated display for temperature, relative humidity and CO₂ values. The device supports app and voice control and can be integrated wirelessly with other Homematic IP devices to form a flexible smart-home heating and lighting solution.

Advantages

The glass front provides a smooth, hygienic and durable surface that resists daily wear while offering a premium look and tactile touch controls. Built-in measurement of temperature, humidity and CO₂ enables continuous monitoring of indoor air quality. Direct relay control of 230 V drive valves or lighting gives the thermostat practical wired control options, while wireless Homematic IP integration allows coordinated control of radiator thermostats, actuators and dimmers.

Suitable for

• Residential rooms requiring precise temperature control and basic air-quality monitoring
• Underfloor heating systems with 230 V drive valves
• Homes using radiator thermostats or Homematic IP actuators and dimmers
• Electric heating systems controlled via pluggable switches and meters

When it may not be suitable

This thermostat is a mains-powered, mechanical room thermostat with IP20 protection and is therefore not suitable for outdoor or damp locations. It provides basic CO₂ and humidity sensing but is not a substitute for dedicated, calibrated air-quality monitoring equipment where laboratory accuracy is required.

Key specifications

• Power supply: 230 V AC (50 Hz)
• Protection class: IP20
• Measured values displayed: room temperature, relative humidity, CO₂ concentration
• Integrated relay output for direct control of 230 V drive valves or for switching lighting
• Glass front with touch control surfaces
• Wireless protocol: Homematic IP for integration with compatible devices

How to use

Set the desired room temperature directly on the device using the touch surfaces, via the Homematic IP app or by voice command where supported. Use the thermostat’s built-in scheduler in the app to create heating times aligned with your daily routine. Connect 230 V drive valves or lighting to the relay output for direct control, or integrate radiator thermostats and other Homematic IP components wirelessly to create a coordinated heating and lighting setup.

What to consider before purchase

• Requires 230 V AC supply and a location with IP20-level protection (indoor use only)
• Not intended as a replacement for high-precision laboratory air-quality instruments
• Glass frames in 1-, 2- and 3-channel versions are available separately to match switch ranges
• Compatibility depends on Homematic IP ecosystem for advanced wireless integration

Recommendations

Install the thermostat indoors at typical breathing height, away from direct sunlight, drafts and heat sources for the most accurate temperature and CO₂ readings. Use the app scheduler and wireless integration with Homematic IP radiator thermostats or actuators to optimise comfort and energy efficiency.
