DRAKA Universal Fibre Optic Cable U-DQ(ZN)BH 24G50/125 OM2, 24 Fibres, Indoor/Outdoor, LSZH, Blue

The DRAKA U-DQ(ZN)BH 24G50/125 stands out as a universal fibre optic cable engineered for seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor environments. Its compact design and robust construction make it an excellent alternative to conventional cables that require separate indoor and outdoor variants, simplifying installation and reducing inventory complexity. With 24 multimode OM2 fibres, it delivers reliable performance for backbone and horizontal cabling in enterprise networks, data centres, and campus environments.

Highlights

• Universal indoor/outdoor design eliminates the need for splicing at building entry points
• 24 multimode OM2 fibres (50/125 µm) for high-density connectivity
• Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) sheath for enhanced fire safety
• Robust construction with 1.5 kN tensile strength for demanding installations
• Blue outer sheath for easy identification and compliance with industry standards

In daily use

This cable excels in installations where space is limited and fire safety is paramount. The LSZH jacket emits minimal smoke and no toxic halogens when exposed to fire, making it suitable for enclosed areas such as offices, schools, and hospitals. The universal design allows direct burial or installation in ducts without additional protection, saving time and cost. Its 24-fibre count provides ample capacity for current and future network demands, while the OM2 fibre supports Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet over short distances.
