Key specifications

How to use

Place the scanner on a stable surface and connect it to a PC or laptop using the supplied cable and installed driver/software. Load documents into the automatic document feeder with pages aligned and the page guides adjusted to prevent skew. Select scan settings in the application — resolution, color mode and file format — then start the scan using the device button or software command. After scanning, review images in the provided software to perform cropping, OCR or file naming before saving and exporting to a folder or cloud service.

Recommendations

For consistent results, use clean, flat sheets and remove staples or paper clips before scanning. Select 300 dpi for everyday document archiving and increase to 600–1200 dpi only when high detail is required. Regularly clean the glass and feed rollers according to the maintenance guidance in the user manual to maintain reliable paper handling and image quality.

Brother ADS-1300 is intended to support routine digitization workflows in small-scale office environments where a balance of speed, resolution and compact design is required.
