How to use

Secure the core bit to a compatible rotary drill or core rig with a 1 1/4" connection following the machine manufacturer's instructions. Position the bit at the marked drilling location, start at low speed to establish the pilot contact, then increase speed and apply steady axial pressure while allowing the diamonds to cut. For wet coring, provide a continuous water feed to cool the bit and flush out debris. For dry coring, use intermittent operation to avoid overheating and periodically withdraw the bit to clear chips.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, hearing protection and dust control when dry cutting. Select wet cutting when possible to extend segment life and reduce dust. Match drill speed and feed pressure to the material hardness; excessive force or incorrect speed can reduce cutting performance and segment life.
