The Wiha Z 01 0 06 / Z 01 0 09 diagonal pliers are made from high-quality C70 tool steel and are tempered for durability. They comply with DIN ISO 5746 and are manufactured according to IEC 60900:2012, allowing safe work on or near electrical components up to 1,000 V AC. The tool features an extra long cutting edge suitable for flat and round cables, induction-hardened cutting edges and an OptiGrip surface for secure handling.

The OptiGrip triple-point support provides a safe, non-slip grip in common work situations. Each plier is individually tested at 10,000 V AC to ensure electrical protection.

How to use

Hold the pliers by the insulated handles and position the cutting edge around the wire or cable to be cut. Apply steady pressure to the handles until the conductor is severed. For gripping or holding, use the OptiGrip area and triple-point support to stabilize the workpiece. Ensure the tool is fully rated and undamaged before using it on live circuits up to 1,000 V AC.

Recommendations

Inspect the pliers before each use for damage to the insulation and cutting edges. Do not use the tool on conductors exceeding its rated voltage or on materials that could exceed the hardness of the cutting edges.
