The Delock USB hub connects to a PC or laptop via a USB Type-C™ interface and provides seven USB-C™ ports for attaching a variety of USB devices such as flash drives, card readers and external enclosures. One of the ports supports USB-C™ Power Delivery 3.0 to supply power to compatible devices while allowing data transfer.

How to use

Connect the hub to a computer or laptop using the USB Type-C™ host connector. Plug USB-C™ devices such as flash drives, card readers or external enclosures into the available ports. Use the individual switches to power ports on or off as required. To charge a compatible device, connect it to the PD 3.0 port; data transfer on that port is supported at up to 5 Gbps. Do not expect video output because DisplayPort Alternate Mode is not supported.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, connect high-speed storage devices to the PD-capable port when both charging and data transfer are needed, but avoid relying on this hub for video output since DP Alt Mode is not available.
