Dahua Technology WizSense SD49425GB-HNR Dome IP security camera Indoor & outdoor 2560 x 1440 pixels Ceiling/wall

The Dahua Technology WizSense SD49425GB-HNR 2560 x 1440 is a dome-style IP security camera engineered for indoor and outdoor surveillance. It records at a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and supports 30 fps for smooth video. The camera houses a 25x optical zoom for detailed observation at long distances and offers wide viewing angles (horizontal: 53.1°, vertical: 30.4°, diagonal: 59.3°). Housed in a durable white enclosure, the unit supports ceiling or wall mounting and connects via wired Ethernet for reliable network video transmission.

Advantages

The camera combines high-resolution imaging with a 25x optical zoom to capture distant details without digital degradation. A 30 fps frame rate delivers fluid motion for typical security scenarios. Built for both indoor and outdoor placement, the model includes video motion detection to assist with event-driven recording and alerts. Wired Ethernet connectivity ensures steady bandwidth for continuous streaming and integration with network video recorders or VMS platforms.

Suitable for

• Perimeter surveillance of commercial and industrial sites
• Large outdoor areas such as parking lots and entrances
• Indoor monitoring of lobbies, corridors and retail floors
• Ceiling- or wall-mounted installations where optical zoom and wide coverage are required

How to use

Mount the camera on a suitable ceiling or wall bracket at a height and angle that provide the intended coverage; ensure the mounting surface can support the camera weight. Connect the camera to the network using a quality Ethernet cable and configure IP settings through your recorder or network management software. Adjust the optical zoom and framing via the camera's PTZ controls or through the connected VMS to focus on areas of interest. Enable video motion detection and set sensitivity zones to reduce false alarms. Regularly verify image focus and network connectivity to maintain optimal performance.

Recommendations

For reliable outdoor operation, install the camera under an overhang when possible and use weatherproof conduit for the Ethernet run. Place the unit at a height that balances coverage and maintenance access, and test zoom settings during different lighting conditions to ensure required detail at distance. Integrate with a compatible NVR or VMS to archive footage and configure retention and alert rules according to site security policy.
