The Thermalright Le Grand Macho RT is a high-performance CPU cooler combining a large 150 mm PWM fan with a substantial nickel-plated copper base and seven 6 mm heat pipes. Advantages

The included TY-147 B PWM fan uses a fluid dynamic bearing for low wear and operates between approximately 300 and 1,300 RPM, producing airflow up to about 125 m³/h while keeping noise levels very low (around 14–20 dB(A)). The fan’s revised design fits conventional 120 mm mounting points while retaining a larger inner diameter typical of 140–150 mm fans; anti-vibration pads and updated fan brackets reduce transmitted vibration. The heatsink’s perforated aluminum fins and central oval air duct lower air resistance and prevent air accumulation, improving overall cooling efficiency. A highly polished, nickel-plated C1100 copper base with a slightly convex contact surface enhances contact with the CPU heat-spreader. Seven integrated 6 mm heat pipes ensure efficient heat transfer from the base into the fin stack.

How to use

Install the cooler using the supplied universal mounting kit and follow the included instructions for your specific CPU socket. Fit the TY-147 B PWM fan to the heatsink with the provided brackets and anti-vibration pads, connect the PWM cable to the motherboard fan header, and apply the supplied Thermalright Chill Factor 3 thermal paste to the CPU heat-spreader before mounting. Use the extra-long magnetic Thermalright screwdriver to secure mounting screws even with the motherboard installed in the case. After mounting, verify that the fan spins correctly and that the cooler does not obstruct memory modules or other components.
