Brush Pen Staedtler Pigment Arts 36 Colours

The Brush Pen Staedtler Pigment Arts 36 Colours set provides a range of 36 saturated pigment inks in a compact hanging box. Each pen combines a round barrel with a flexible brush tip that supports both fine lines and broad strokes. The water-resistant pigment ink and consistent flow are suitable for detailed illustration, hand lettering and mixed-media applications. The set is arranged to offer a balanced palette for sketching, colouring and creating layered washes.

Advantages

The flexible brush tip adapts to pressure for variable line widths, enabling precise outlines and expressive brush strokes without switching tools. Round housings provide a comfortable grip for extended use. Pigment-based ink delivers good lightfastness and produces crisp, opaque colours on suitable papers. The hanging box keeps pens organised and portable, making the set convenient for studio or on-the-go use.

Key specifications

• Set size: 36 colours
• Tip type: flexible brush tip
• Barrel shape: round housing for comfortable grip
• Ink type: pigment-based, water-resistant when dry
• Packaging: hanging storage box for organisation

How to use

Select a brush pen colour and hold the pen at a natural writing angle. Apply light pressure for fine hairlines and increase pressure to achieve broader strokes. For blending, work quickly while ink is still wet or use a compatible water brush to create smooth transitions. Allow pigment ink to dry fully before applying additional layers or other wet media to avoid unwanted lifting.

Recommendations

Use paper suited for marker and mixed-media work to prevent bleeding; test colours on a scrap sheet to check opacity and drying time. Store pens horizontally to maintain consistent ink flow and cap securely after use to prevent drying of the brush tip.
