Braun BC06R-DCF Quartz clock Circle Red

The Braun BC06R-DCF Circle Red is a quartz wall clock with a 20 cm diameter dial and a DCF (GMT+1) radio-controlled movement for the Central European time zone. The radio control can be switched off to allow manual setting when the DCF signal is not available. The design is based on the ABW 41 (1981) by Dietrich Lubs and follows Braun’s minimalist functional approach, with a lens removed to reduce reflections and ensure clear legibility from any angle.

Advantages

The clock offers precise timekeeping via an improved quiet movement and automatic synchronization to the DCF radio signal for Central Europe; it also supports manual adjustment when required. Its 20 cm dial, restrained circular design and lens-free face provide easy readability, while quality materials and durable construction ensure long-term reliability.

Suitable for

• Home rooms such as kitchens, living rooms and bedrooms
• Offices and meeting rooms
• Public spaces with Central European time settings
• Locations where a low-reflection, easy-to-read wall clock is required

Key specifications

• Model: Braun BC06R-DCF Circle Red (MPN 67021, EAN 4007218670212)
• Movement: Quartz, DCF (GMT+1) radio-controlled with option to switch off
• Dial diameter: 200 mm
• Depth: 32 mm
• Power: AA battery
• Design origin: Based on ABW 41 (1981) by Dietrich Lubs

How to use

Install one AA battery into the clock’s battery compartment and hang the clock on a secure wall hook. By default the clock will attempt to receive the DCF radio signal for automatic time setting; if the signal cannot be received, switch the radio-controlled function off and set the time manually using the adjustment controls on the back of the clock.

Recommendations

Place the clock where it has a clear reception path for the DCF signal (away from large metal objects and strong electrical interference). For best legibility, mount at eye level and avoid direct bright lights that may cause glare despite the lens-free face.
